Tátil at D&AD Shift 2026: originality begins at the origin

Tátil has been a partner of D&AD Shift since its first São Paulo edition, in 2023. D&AD's global, free educational programme opens a route into the creative market for self-taught talents without a traditional academic background, through months of challenges based on real brand briefs. On August 27, 2026, the 19 shifters of the third edition presented their portfolios to the industry at the programme's Portfolio Review, and we were there once again.

This year, we took part with the class from beginning to end. In May, we welcomed the shifters at Tátil São Paulo for the edition's opening, with a talk by Cristiano Gonçalo (Partner and Creative Director) and Renata Costa (Partner and Director of Growth - Global). From there came a mentorship that ran through the programme: Cris followed shifter Felipe Augusto in conversations about portfolio, career and the insecurities of someone just starting out. And at the Portfolio Review, Ricardo Bezerra (Global Chief Creative Officer) joined the night's mentors to review the class.

"Shift shapes a generation that arrives in the market thinking about the impact of this profession on the world. Staying close to that formation is investing in the future of the creative market itself," says Cris. And from the other side of the table, Felipe shares that "Shift and the mentorship changed my perception of the market and unlocked so much in me. Creativity exists beyond college walls, and self-taught professionals have plenty of repertoire to show: cultural repertoire, lived repertoire."

For Ricardo, taking part in this edition was a way of reaffirming the potential of Brazilian creativity. "I saw D&AD happening in New York and in London. Knowing that Brazil already has a tradition with this education platform, generating learnings that the global programme absorbs, is seeing Brazil on the map of creativity as an agent of transformation."

Staying close to Shift is part of how we think about nurturing talent: learning from a generation that arrives in the market with other repertoires and that also believes in the originality and excellence of Brazilian design

The 2026 class continues until September 17, when graduation and the project exhibition close the cycle.
